Summer Schools -

2-Week Intensive Learning Periods in Spain and Vietnam

To promote the BioEcoN curriculum and international exchange, three “summer schools” focused on sustainable forest- and bio-economy are offered to students enrolled at participating universities.

Dates and Venues:

15 – 28 September 2019 at Vietnam National University of Forestry, Hanoi, Vietnam

2 – 15 February 2020 at University of Valladolid, Palencia, Spain
7 – 18 June 2021 (online) hosted by Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Thai Nguyen City, Vietnam

Attention: after several postponements of the third summer school due to the global SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, we decided to hold the event online. We have worked hard to develop a schedule and media platforms which maximize opportunities for close interaction with an international group of students and teachers. In addition to the 2-week intensive learning period there are orientation events planned on May 31^st and June 1^st. You may download the schedule here (subject to change). Each participant attends 4 courses/modules over the 2-week learning period, providing the opportunity to learn new methods, tools and technologies from various disciplines. In addition to practical training, a highly interactive learning environment among international scholars and lecturers provides ample opportunity for academic and cultural exchange. Participants will receive a certificate of participation and the opportunity to earn up to 6 ECTS.
