HNEE

The University for Sustainable Development in Eberswalde, Germany (abbr. HNEE) was founded in 1830 as a Forestry Academy and has been dedicated to sustainability research and teaching for over 180 years. Seventeen innovative study programs are currently offered in four faculties: Forest and Environment, Landscape Management and Nature Conservation, Wood Engineering, and Sustainable Business. Sustainability concepts are inter-woven in all programs and courses, with a focus on forward-looking industries and key sectors including renewable energy, regional management, sustainable tourism, conservation, forestry, organic farming, adaptation to climate change and sustainable economics.
